Sungbin Moon

Sungbin Moon is a Korean director based in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from high school in South Korea, she moved to the United States to study abroad.

She views the world through a documentary lens, closely observing fleeting, vulnerable moments in people’s lives. Using mixed media and narrative fiction rooted in real stories, she creatively brings these moments to life, capturing the beauty of the ordinary.

Her work explores themes of liminality in love and loss, often portraying intergenerational family dynamics. Films like Sunchong, After the Storm, Where Are You, and her current project MONI reflect her deep interest in what it means to be human.

Her films have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals.
